Queen Liliuokalani, born as Lydia Liliu Loloku Walania Wewehi Kamakaeha, was the last reigning monarch of the kingdom of Hawai'i. As part of her efforts to stave off the annexation of Hawai'i, she published Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen Liliuokalani in early 1898.
