Philadelphia native Reid Bramblett is the author of more than two dozen guidebooks, creator of the popular ReidsItaly.com website, and a former daily travel reporter for MSNBC.com, where he won two Lowell Thomas awards for travel reporting.
Reid is a frequent contributor to Frommers.com, AARP The Magazine, and CruiseCritic.com, and his travel articles have appeared in The Miami Herald, Modern Bride, AOL.com, The Dallas Morning News, The St. Petersburg Times, CNN.com, and Newsweek. He was a Contributing Editor to TravelandLeisure.com, Condé Nast's Concierge.com, and Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel magazine, where he was formerly Associate Editor.
Reid has appeared as a travel expert on CNN, FOX News, NPR, and the Travel Channel's "Great Cruises" series, and blogged weekly about active and adventure travel as the "Man Outdoors" at WeightWatchers.com.
