An observational explanatory research was carried out with the objective of identifying the relationship between the oral health status and quality of life in older adults belonging to the Stomatological Clinic of the Luis Aldana Palomino Polyclinic with Hospitalization Service in the municipality of Amancio, Las Tunas province, in the period from March 2020 to June 2021. The results, grouped in the form of tables, showed significant association of oral health status with age groups, sex, associated diseases and health risk factors. The assessment of quality of life in older adults showed affectation of almost all the dimensions evaluated with a medium or high impact due to oral health status. It was concluded that oral health has a direct influence on the quality of life of older adults, mainly when pathological processes and risk factors are associated, many of which are modifiable with the actions of health professionals.
