Matt Wagner has enjoyed a career in comics for almost forty years and is best known for one of the most respected creator-owned titles--the centuries-spanning epic, GRENDEL and for his other, more personal, allegory, MAGE. Matt has also worked on a wide variety of established characters over the years which include several landmark projects starring DC Comics icon, BATMAN including two crossover series with GRENDEL. His other mainstream work includes; SANDMAN MYSTERY THEATRE, DR. MID-NITE, GREEN ARROW, TRINITY, MADAME XANADU, ZORRO, GREEN HORNET; YEAR ONE, THE SHADOW; YEAR ONE, THE SHADOW: THE DEATH OF MARGO LANE, THE SPIRIT RETURNS, and DJANGO/ZORRO, which he co-wrote with renowned film-maker Quentin Tarantino. Matt continues to expand the vast GRENDEL saga with his most recent work, DEVIL BY THE DEED—MASTER’S EDITION. He has also begun an ambitious series of graphic novels about DRACULA, writing for artist Kelley Jones.
Brennan Wagner was born and raised in the world of comic books and storytelling. The son of industry pioneer Matt Wagner, Brennan has been helping to craft comics and graphic imagery professionally for over a decade and has worked on some of the medium's most noteworthy titles including Batman, Superman, Hellboy, Grendel, The Shadow, Zorro, The Spirit, Mage, Sherlock Holmes, Animal Man, and more. Known primarily for his lush painterly color work, Brennan has also begun writing and drawing comics of his own with Dark Horse's new series: Saint John which centers around his beloved hometown of Portland, Oregon where he currently resides.
